Week at a Glance (March 3-7)

Unicorns on the loose!

We ended our school week with some surprise visitors! As students arrived at school, they were greeted by some colourful unicorns. Mrs. O'Neill and Mme Harding dressed up as unicorns on Friday to celebrate the students reaching their Read-a-thon goal (and surpassing it!!!). It was a fun surprise for students and such a joyful way to end our week.

There are still a few more Read-a-thon prizes to come, including class pizza parties (for the top classes), a whole school pajama day and a family movie evening.

Ski Trip
We are excited for our upcoming Sunridge Ski Trip this Thursday, March 6th.  If you volunteered, your child’s teacher should have contacted you about the details. All volunteers should meet us at the ski hill at 9:15 am.  Volunteers that have been chosen to have a free pass, please see Ms. Jordan after all students have been fitted and placed in their groups.  Other volunteers, please visit the ski trip counter after all students have been fitted and placed in their groups so that you can pay.

Important Reminders:

  • Your PowerSchool account must be in good standing to attend
  • All fees are due asap
  • All students must travel via EIPS bus to Sunridge.  Parents must meet us at the hill.  The buses are full
  • If you wish to transport YOUR child from the hill, you must contact Mrs. O’Neill (jenn.oneill@eips.ca) to fill out a permission form PRIOR TO MARCH 5th @ 3:30 p.m. We will not supply these at the hill
  • Students that own their own equipment can drop it off at the school by the grade 6 doors.  A staff member will be transporting the equipment
  • Students may bring a bagged lunch and/or $ to purchase lunch.  There is no set time for lunch–students can eat any time prior to 1:30 pm
  • Lessons are mandatory on an EIPS field trip
  • Younger siblings are not to attend
