Week at a Glance (Feb 24-28)

Our week full of French celebrations was a huge success! Classes experienced indoor activities throughout the week, and video announcements to learn about Carnaval. On Thursday, we had our first outdoor Carnaval at HHE. It was incredible! The weather was beautiful, and the stations were so much fun. The warm weather and outdoor fun were just what we needed, and we were able to celebrate winter (which is what Carnaval is all about)! A huge thank you to our French Immersion team for planning and organizing the week full of French cultural events! We also are so grateful for all our volunteers who came out for Carnaval. We have an amazing community, and we couldn't have done it without you!
We ended the week of French celebrations with Girandole (French dance workshops) for the whole school. Thank you to FAHHE for their support in this event! Students were able to make and taste la tire (maple taffy) and learn French dances!
Read-A-Thon
Thanks to FAHHE, we had a very successful first Read-a-thon at Heritage Hills! A HUGE shout out to all the students, families, and staff who read and raised money. Replacement Chromebooks will be purchased in the coming weeks and FAHHE will also be planning an epic end of school year fun day for everyone!
Mid-Point Review
