Week at a Glance (Nov 18-22)

What a beautiful Remembrance Day Ceremony we had at Heritage Hills Elementary! Thank you to Dr. Boyer and Mr. King for their hard work to create such an incredible ceremony, with amazing student leadership and such touching music. The students were silent and showed great respect, which created such a moving service. Thank you also to our guests Captain Dave McEachern and Officer Jill Donaldson, and to all the guests that came to take part in the ceremony.

Art Cards
Sample Cards for our Art Cards By Kids Fundraiser were sent home this week. Check your child(ren)'s backpack for their handmade creation. These make cherished gifts for grandparents, friends and relatives. Please follow the steps on the inside of the card to order online at www.artcardsbykids.com, and enter the red code on your child(ren)'s sample. The deadline to order is Wednesday, November 20.

Bullying Awareness and Prevention Week
The third week of November is Bullying Awareness and Prevention Week. From November 18-22, we will be promoting kindness, awareness and understanding of bullying and how to be an upstander.

Lego Club
Lego Club for Grades 1-3 will be starting in December. Students in Grade 1-3 will have the opportunity to sign up for it. There will be a limited number of students who can participate at one time, but if interest is high, we will run it in groups (some students may have to wait until January for their turn). Thank you to our Lego club committee (Mrs. Bentley, Mrs. O'Neill, Mrs. Taverner, Mme Tiphaine, Mme Haddow, and Mme Lundgren) for starting this up as the weather is getting colder!
